Common Questions
How do I check if Medi-Cal will cover placement?
Check with your case worker first — they can confirm your active Medi-Cal coverage and which managed care plan you're enrolled in. You can also call us at
(760) 766-0300 and we'll help verify eligibility on our end, usually within one business day.
Is prior authorization required for Medi-Cal?
Yes — a referral is required before prior authorization can be requested. Your case worker can provide this referral. Once we receive it, our team will handle the prior auth submission and follow up with your plan. If you're unsure how to get a referral, your case worker is the right person to contact first.
How do scholarships work?
A limited number of scholarship beds become available periodically. These are allocated based on financial need and program fit. Contact us to get on the list and we'll reach out when one opens up.
What does sliding scale mean?
Sliding scale means we adjust the monthly rate based on your documented income and ability to pay. It is considered on a case-by-case basis and is not guaranteed, but we try to work with people whenever we can.
